Classes for kids in Denver
Do you want extra reinforcement of your child’s academic skills without the cost of a private tutor? Get three or more kids together for a fun, customized class melding different learning styles with academic subject areas. You choose the topic, learning style, length (1hr-2hrs) and duration (must be at least 4 sessions), and I will create a class just for you! Cost is based on the number of children in the class, as well as the length and duration of classes.

Create your own ebook!
In this class, children will work together to develop a topic on which to write and then create an ebook on that topic. Younger children write about their own experiences, and take photos or create drawings to include in the ebook, while older children research a topic of their choice, practicing non-fiction reading and writing skills in an engaging manner. They can choose to have the book printed as well, to add to your home library and read again and again.
Fun with math
This class focuses on practicing math facts in fun and engaging ways. Your child will play active games, create tools to help him or her remember the math facts, and use technology to reinforce math skills. Remembering math facts is essential for young learners, and this is an ideal way to help you child enjoy the process!
Cooking with children’s books
Many children’s books have cooking or recipe themes. What better way to help your child love reading than by sharing these wonderful books and then cooking the recipes together? In this class, we will begin each session with an active read-aloud, focusing on developing reading skills such as questioning, making connections, and predicting, and then follow it by creating recipes together. Your child will read the recipe, measure ingredients (great math practice), and be able to take home and enjoy the delectable dishes he or she creates!
